Twin Cities Family: More Than $5 Week/Weekend Highlights September 2-September 9, 2012

Week of September 2-September 9, 2012

I dedicate this entire week to the Dolphins at the Minnesota Zoo.  It’s their final week and to celebrate their life at the zoo, they are having a special event all week called the Dolphins Farewell Week (DFW).
During this week, the Dolphine Stadium will be open to watch them in an informal setting.  There will also be a chance for you to “take a picture with them.”  Their image will be superimposed on a green screen behind you.  You can sign a card, submit pictures online to their virtual bulletin board, and bring in plastic bags to be recycled–I’m not sure how that will be fun, but they included it for your enjoyment.

Also this week, here are the offering from the Minnesota Historical Society
