Organizing the Basement Week 9

In the basement, I didn’t do anything this week.
Unless you count the 7 loads of laundry, sweeping the floor, picking up the toys, moving the play kitchen, and stocking the shelves in the pantry.

Yeah, I didn’t think so.

But you know who did do something?

Alas, my heart grows faint of all the sweat and toil he so endured for the sake of the basement.

Okay, so he cut off a section of the sheetrock that was moldy due to water in our basement.  And he has discovered there is another section that needs to be taken care of.

Yes!  How fantastic.

So the section of sheetrock was torn off and the insulation replaced.  But we have no sheetrock to recover the wall, AND Chris can’t find his roll of heavy duty plastic.  So what did I do to cover the exposed insulation?

Moved the monstrous play kitchen in front of it, thereby preventing fiberglass splinters in my superstars’ fingers.

Oh, yeah!  Whose the mama?

I can tell you that I am afraid that there will be nothing done this week either as we are traveling all the way to WI!  But we gotta do something fast.  We have guests coming to stay with us and they need something a bit more inviting than exposed sheetrock covered by a big ol’ plastic play kitchen!
