Organizing the Basement Week 7

We made some major progress!

 Let me tell you!

Well, kind of. It may not be what you would consider major progress, but it is.
Believe me!

I am feeling a wave of hope.

A wave of “Oh, I think we can do this!”

As if that is any different than a wave of hope!

But you get the idea!

First, I want to show you our bathroom closet sans the towels.

And, yes! Our bathroom closet is in the basement!

Why do you ask?

Do you forget that I have 2 closets in my entire house?

For those of you who are thinking about buying your own home and have never done it before, let me give you a word of advice.

Make sure there are closets everywhere you look.

Closets in the bedrooms are a must! Believe me!
Closets in the hall are also a must!
A closet in the bathroom is the greatest thing ever invented.
A front door closet? You gotta be kidding me! I’m drooling already!
Closet or a pantry in the kitchen? HEAVEN!

With that said, let me reveal my bathroom closet to you!

Ooooh!  I love it so!
Yes, we are using the fishtank not currently in operation as a shelf for Q-tips!
Yes, our swimming pool is in its box next to our bathroom closet!
And yes, on the top shelf are three boxes of pulmicort for the nebulizer!  I don’t think we will need any for about 3 years!
At least let’s hope not.
On to more exciting and fun activities (although what could be more exciting than my bathroom closet? I know not!)
Teasing my highly attractive husband.
He will certainly not like this!
But alas, he will not be reading this and I must point something out that I find hilarious!  We will not point that I, yes I, would have done the same thing and have done the same thing on numerous occassions!
This was our former living room.  Now we must call it a family cave.  Because that is what it is.  Not family room.  oh, no!  CAVE!
It will not have a floor….for a long while.  Well, what I mean is as in a finished floor.
It’s not like it’s dirt or anything.
Not that there is anything wrong with a dirt floor!
Anyway, we have to paint the floor again to reseal it!  And so on the first Wednesday night of Awana, I, with the troop of 3 children, was out of the house.  And Chris, with the littlest one, was at the house and trying to be productive.
And productive he was.
He painted the floor.
He painted around the carpet rug we have down for the time being.
But did he put paint on the floor?
He sure did!
And was the littlest one kept out of the paint?
He sure was!
Am I getting excited over a very small reason!
I sure am!
And it will be painted by the end of October because we have a deadline!
Ahh, the magic of a deadline!
