Birthdays are NOT about the Cake

At least I hope not.
I am not a good presenter of delicious assortments of baked goods.  What I can do is make it taste good, but don’t look it (whatever it might be).  Close your eyes and pop it in and you will be delightfully surprised.
But don’t ever ever look at it!

This is what happened to Princess Pea’s cake!

She totally looks like she is going to vomit!
Don’t try to tell me that she doesn’t.
Note to self:  frosting doesn’t cover over the mistakes like white-out.
No, the mistakes mix right in.
I am so very sorry, Strawberry, for making you sick to your stomach!
But it doesn’t seem to matter to the Princess.
I’m so glad she liked it!

Happy Birthday to our little Princess Pea who is adds a sparkle to our life with her drama, humor, independence, and originality!

My kids favorite cake of all time was one year we flew home really late and I did not have time to bake a cake. So, I bought twinkies and oatmeal cream pies. I put two oatmeal cream pie on top of each other in the center and put twinkies around it to look like a flower then I frosted them with canned frosting and put green coconut on the plate to look like grass. Took about 10 minutes and they loved it!!!
