Deeper than the Laundry

Wordgirl wanted to learn how to fold her clothes.
So last week I showed her the easy steps of folding laundry–matching socks and folding towels and washclothes.
I’ll admit it….
The worst part of folding the laundry is now being done by my 5 year old!
I HATE matching socks!  And SHE loves being involved.  How much better can it be?  It’s totally a win win situation.
Having a helper can sometimes be MARVELOUS (like with Wordgirl matching socks).  She is doing something that she is completely capable of doing and doesn’t need much direction from me.  At the same time, she and I get to work together  getting the laundry folded.  It’s MY goal, but it is much better for everyone in the long run.  She could make it difficult and whine about it, but she comes with joy and excitement WANTING to spend time working with me.
Do I come to God excited to work with Him on His next goal?  Am I excited for whatever task He gives me?  Do I approach Him asking for something else I can learn?

  1. These are great questions, Gianna.
It's easy to be excited about the things WE want to do.But I want to be so close to God's heart that I am excited about every task HE wants me to do.
Yeah, and I need to get something out of the dryer. Thanks for reminding me!
