blogpals in person

In just over 2 weeks, I get to meet someone.
Check that.
I get to meet 2 someones (and maybe 3 someones).
Oh, I am so excited I can’t tell you.

I never thought I would ever have the opportunity to ….
Check that again.
I never thought I would WANT to meet some people from cyberworld.

Not that cyberworld friends are bad (well, they can be, I suppose, but you know what I mean). I just never thought I would be one of those people who had friends she had never met in person and that she only knew from the internet.

Instead, we are getting together to meet each other and get to know each other a little bit more.
Wordgirl is SOOOOO excited!

As I was telling my friends at work about this get together, I realized how weird this must sound.

I was trying to explain how I know them from more than just internet and this is what I said, “I have watched one of them on TV and the other one has written books.”

Then, I stopped. I haven’t even had the chance to read the books yet.

Lame! Oh, so lame!

I was stumped.
But you know what?
I am still so excited I can’t tell you!
These women are wonderful and beautiful people.
It’s like having a penpal from “long ago. “
Only now, it’s a blogpal.
And I get to meet some of my blogpals in person.
Have I told you how excited I am?
Oh, I am so excited!

  1. I can't say for sure, but I just might be more excited than you. *big grin*
I totally know what you mean about feeling a little wierd about telling others about these friends who you have never even met before. If they aren't bloggers, they just don't get it. I truly consider many of my blogging friends to be REAL friends. But it just thrills me to pieces to that I actually get to meet you face to face, and hug you, and meet your kids and your husband. Then we can be IRL friends, too. 🙂
