i have never liked the game tag–until now!

i hated tag as a kid. i thought it was the most annoying game. what was fun about being chased and then chasing and not catching anyone? nothing! however, after reading micah’s blog at silver linings, i discovered with pure joy that i (little old me) had been tagged. whoot! whoot!

The Rules:* List Six Unimportant Things That Make You Happy*
Mention and link to the person who tagged you*
Tag six of your favorite bloggers to play along{and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been tagged}

these are in no particular order. but now i giannamama (affectionally named BY micah, i think it has a good ring, don’t you? although i am STILL partial to macgyver or giannamacgyver!)
so without further ado
six unimportant things that make me happy

1. a clean floor. you could argue that since i have small children, this is very important, but in the whole scheme of things and the spiritual and physical and emotional development of my children this. is. not. as long as they are loved, supported, and safe AND if they are learning about Jesus, that’s what is important. not the cleanliness of my floors.

2. a good pen. and to me a “good” pen is working BIC round stick. or a papermate pen. i love the flowy pens, but the way i write it gets all over my hands. so therefore i like simple ballpoint pens. on the flip side, i HATE pens that won’t write or you have work really hard to get it to write. blech!

3. a drawer with fresh batteries of all sizes. i love opening a drawer and knowing that it will contain any battery i will need whether it be for a toy, a flashlight, an alarm clock, or the smoke detector.

4. when someone tells me how to save money on groceries. (like when the store is having a good deal) i hate scouring the ads and then not really knowing if that’s a good deal. i wish i could have someone plan my meals and shopping. i have no problem making the meals or sending my husband out shopping, but figuring it out is hard. i have just decided that i will NOT pay more than $2.00/lb for chicken or ground beef. and i will NOT pay more than $1.00 for chips or crackers. produce eludes me. help! it’s not important. i do have the capacity to do it. i just don’t LIKE to do it.

5. using the can of air to spray out my computer keyboard at work. there is something so great about cleaning your keyboard. have you ever LOOKED at your keyboard? GROSS! i had a co-worker who went off to college after working the summer with me. for a going away gift, i got her a pen that stood by itself on the deskt and then coming out of the top of the pen was a feather duster to clean your keyboard! isn’t that the greatest?

6. last by not least! the word PANTS! i. love. the. word. PANTS! it’s the best word in the world. seriously! have you ever thought about how great this word is? say it out loud at least 5 times in a row and try NOT to laugh. no, i’m serious. do it! come on! this won’t work unless you actually participate. consider it an experiment. anyway, pants is by far the best word EVER!

okay, so now consider yourself tagged by giannamama!

1. ruhama at rumahama
2. miss w at muthering heights
3. miss p at mcclure family
4. arly at make it zing
5. crystal at life at the circus
6. carey at s for sophie
*nicknames are for those who like to keep their anonimity (or the fact i just don’t know their names) i tried to pick a couple of bloggers i haven’t seen this on already. if you have already participated in this game, i’m sorry. 6 unimportant things can be difficult since i think to believe EVERYTHING is important!
