today’s installment of not me monday comes from our good blog pal mckmama.
i did NOT agree to play duck duck gray duck (duck duck goose for all you non-MN people–now you know what it is and i do NOT plan on defending my right to call it duck duck gray duck because THAT is ridiculous) with maya and then proceed to put it off until just before supper.
our duck duck gray duck game did NOT consist of maya, brin, me AND dane. on that note, it was NOT fun at all! we were NOT laughing our heads off (me mostly because it was so ridiculous to be playing this with all these young kids and maya because it was so much fun).
i did NOT have to tell maya that we needed to sit in a circle, instead of lining up in a row like she instructed.
when maya gray ducked me, she did NOT go running off into her room instead of around the circle wanting me to get her.
every time we ran, dane did NOT come crawling after us and then, when we reconvened in our circle, he did NOT come back to join in. (he is so the youngest in the family–just wanting to be included).
when it was brin’s turn to duck everyone, she did NOT constantly go around and around and through our circle ducking us on the head. then, when we convinced her that she needed to gray duck someone, she did NOT stand in the middle of us and yell, “gray duck! gray duck! gray duck!” at the top of her lungs without tapping anyone on the head.
oh and one more not related to the game…
apparently, chris and i have NOT been giving our children any timeouts recently because we did NOT hear brin yell, “timeout! timeout!” (she LOVES to play timeout…i know, i know) after everyone was in bed and chris and i were going up to our room, we did not see this
