you know you are a mother of 3 little ones when only 2 of you are dressed and one of the two is you! and that’s the first time EVER since number 3 has been born (coincidentally that has been over 8 months).
you know you are still sick when you look at everyone around you and you think everyone is sick because you have been sick for a week STRAIGHT and still are in a fog.
you know you are in a dirty house when you hear your three year old playing, but still saying to her dolls, “our house is really dirty. that’s why i have to wear shoes.”
you know you are in way over your head and maybe not thinking clearly when you pile a stool on top of a chair (without thinking that you have a 2 year old who LOVES to climb) just so that you can sweep and wash the floor. the next thing you know, the 2 year old is climbing on top of that chair and still you think nothing of it. then, the stool falls off the chair and finally (yet very slowly) you think, “oh, that wasn’t a smart idea. i should probably go help her out.” and then you get up from the floor you are diligently washing and give her a hug–yet the whole time thinking, “i still gotta get back to the floor.” priorities, gianna! good grief! yet, if you recall, the 3 year old was not liking the dirty house. (by the way, brin is fine. she wasn’t hurt as badly as she was scared. she was able to shake it off pretty well)
