maya’s first valentines

this year for valentine’s day, the cubbies had a party. okay, so it wasn’t exactly on valentine’s day. it was on the wednesday before, but either way maya needed to bring valentines to share with her friends. 25 to be exact! side note: we have WAY too many cubbies in one room.
i was reading in one of the parenting magazines at work and glanced over this idea. it was so easy and cute (but the emphasis is on easy)

this are maya’s finger prints.

i think the outline finishes the heart off nicely!

we attached suckers to each of the valentines since suckers are maya’s favorite candy. maya had such a fun time. brin did too. the valentines that brin made, we gave to aunt lis and andrea (technically andrea’s daughter). brin had made 2 more, but they disappeared when i was at work and i couldn’t find them. oh, boy!
anyway, i was very proud of maya and it was really fun to do something together.

Ooo, this is great! I hadn’t thought of that idea for Valentine’s, though I have Ed Emberley’s fingerprint book…If you don’t mind, I may borrow this for next year. And tell Lizz.
