thursday surprise

So this Thursday, I knew there would be something to report.
Surprised work with Valentine Day cookies.
Surprised my girls with Valentine Day treats.
Surprised my husband for his birthday:
Chris’s birthday is Sunday, February 17, and his sister came up to surprise him for the long weekend! It was a fun surprise and I totally didn’t give anything away. It was so hard! I obviously couldn’t tell Chris. I couldn’t tell Maya who has little ears and a big mouth. And if I told Brin, I would just be flirting with the chance that Chris may overhear me. I didn’t want to tell my mom or any of my friends JUST IN CASE I wasn’t thinking when I spoke to them. But when Ruhama pulled into the driveway, Chris looked out the window and said, “Someone’s here!” I couldn’t keep from smiling, so I hid behind my hands and said, “Oh, yeah?” And he looked longer and he finally said, “I think it might be Ruhama.” I ran into Maya’s room to “look out the window” and heard him say, “It IS Ruhama.” I greeted her with, “I did it!” When Ruhama came in, she said, “No one knows I’m here.” She didn’t tell any of their family because you just never know. Chris has asked us not to surprise him next year since I have now surprised him 2 years in a row for his birthday. Although in his defense, last year’s surprise was more confusion than surprise!
So I think our string of Thursday incidences must end, andsince I actually planned this Thursday’s report, it doesn’t really count!
