all the pretty horses

Yesterday I was in a small tizzy trying to figure out who I wanted to root for during the Superbowl. I have converted to an avid Packers Fan, but even so I thought it was cool that our conference was in the Super Bowl. Therefore, I wanted to cheer for Da Bears. But when I thought about it, I really wanted the Colts to win (I like Tony Dungee and Payton Manning, and my good friend Rachel is from Indiana). I finally decided that I wanted the Colts to win. AND THEY DID! How exciting!

As a semi-Indianian, I must say: you made the right choice. 😉

I was super impressed by Tony Dungee’s acceptance speech right after the game–totally giving glory to God on the football field!

Brad wouldn’t let me cheer for the Bears, (he grew up close to Chicago and really despised Bears fans) even though I thought the Bears had a better team (well, except for their quarterback). But I was SO GLAD the Colts won. Yeah Payton Manning and Tony Dungee!

Everyone at our house cheered after Tony Dungee’s speech. The stadium was silent, but our house was excited! That was so cool!

Where did you watch the game? And was it a big party? Excellent snacks?

Not such a big party. The Derksens were over and they brought a pasta bake and garlic bread and we provided cheesy popcorn, cookies, and carrots and dip.
